Kresge Eye Institute
The Kresge Eye Institute is a health care facility that provides patient care, eye research and medical education services. It conducts research studies in the areas of age-related macular degeneration, branch retinal vein occlusion, diabetic macular edema, retinal detachments and uveitis. The institute provides an ophthalmology residency training program that includes clinical education for physicians in the science of ophthalmology. The residency training program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. In addition, it has a library that provides resources related to eye glasses and contact lenses, visual screening and eye examinations, refractive errors and eye disorders. The Kresge Eye Institute has been operational since 1948 and is located in Taylor, Mich.
