Henry Ford Health System is a nonprofit health care enterprise that offers acute, primary, tertiary, quaternary and preventive care, as well as research and education, to residents of Michigan. The system operates four hospitals with more than 1,500 licensed beds, as well as several specialized institutes and centers. It is governed by a 45-member board of community leaders and maintains advisory and affiliate boards representing 220 trustees.
