Founded in 1917 and located in Kalamazoo, Mich., the Girl Scouts of Glowing Embers Council is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs for girls. It provides outreach and school-based scouting programs for girls who are unable to participate in regular scouting programs. The organization offers resident and day camping programs that include a variety of activities, such as swimming, horseback riding, sailing, campfire skits and hiking.
