The George E. Campbell Company, now known as George E. Campbell & Sons, began in the late 1950s. Campbell owned a Gulf Gas Station when a gentleman from the Pontiac Post Office encouraged him to try his hand at hauling mail. Campbell worked for two years on a Union Lake/Keego Harbor contract when he was offered a job with Armstrong Trucking, another mail contractor. Through the years, Campbell also had his sons working to haul the mail. In 1972 the company incorporated and became George E. Campbell & Sons. The company is part of Causley Trucking Group U.S. Mail Division, which transports mail for the United States Postal Service, operating approximately 13 million annually in nearly 10 states. The members haul mail six facilities in Michigan that include Causley Trucking, George E. Campbell & Sons, L.R. Vincent Truck and Service, P-D Trucking and Fedrizzi. George E. Campbell & Sons is located in Detroit.
