Frito-Lay is the convenient food division of PepsiCo. It is an international company that markets and sells corn and potato chips and other snack food items. It was formed in 1961 as a result of the merger between The Fritos Company and Atlanta-based H.W. Lay & Company. Frito-Lay has a staff of more than 44,000 employees and over 30 manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. The company markets and sells its products under the brand names of Lay's, Fritos, Cheetos, Baken-ETS, Ruffles, Doritos, Funyuns, Tostitos, Baked Lay's, Sunchips, Munchies, Oberto and Rold Gold. It offers a variety of products, such as cheese-flavored snacks, tortilla chips, onion-flavored rings, natural and organic snacks, cookies and meat snacks.
