Ranked by Newsweek as among the top 20 high schools in Michigan and the top 1,000 in the U.S., Farmington High School is committed to the mission of developing high-achieving students and responsible citizens. In addition to meeting annual yearly progress as defined by No Child Left Behind, Farmington High has earned an A on its State of Michigan composite report card. Founded in 1888, Farmington High is the district's oldest school, although it has not always been housed in the same building. The facility underwent extensive renovations beginning in 2008, which added a performing arts center, science and technology wings, and new athletic facilities.
