Another important fact about The Farm is it is also a prevention program committed to helping stop abuse and neglect, family conflict, teen pregnancy, violence, juvenile delinquency, substance abuse and undeveloped potentials and talent. It is a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) nonprofit, charitable, organization with donations tax deductible. It was founded in 1997. Our vision is to help youth and families of all ages have fun, learn, heal and grow. The Farm was created by two psychologists who know how plants, animals and nature can provide opportunities for individuals, families, and groups to learn to make healthier choices. The result is increased assets, skills, competencies, self-confidence, self-esteem, and leadership. We use ecotherapy as well as more traditional methods in our programs and activities. The Farm strives to develop strong youth and families by teaching the value of life, helping people become fully functioning and healthy individuals and cultivating leadership and teamwork skills.
