The Escanaba High School has approximately 980 students in grades 8 through 12. It has one of the most well rounded educational programs in the Upper Peninsula with a strong focus on academics, athletics, fine arts, and student activities. The school offers all of the core classes in the Michigan Merit Curriculum, including advanced placement courses in biology, chemistry, statistics, calculus and English. Its sports program includes several offerings during the three high school sports seasons. The Escanaba High School offers football, cross-country, cheerleading, girl's tennis as well as girl's volleyball in the fall.
