Emmaus House of Saginaw, founded in 1987 by Sister Shirley Orand and Sister Marietta Fritz, offers transitional living and life skills to women transitioning from jail, prison, or rehab. Providing a safe, family-like Christian atmosphere, Emmaus House aims to empower women to rebuild their lives and realize their unique goodness and worth.
With a mission to support women on their journey to self-sufficiency, Emmaus House operates 13 houses with the capacity to assist 50 women at a time. Over 1200 women have benefited from the ministry, receiving shelter, hope, and services as they work towards recovery and independence.
