History
Merica earned her bachelor's degree from Smith College, one of the Seven Sisters, in Northampton, Massachusetts. Merica graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2007, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medicine and Law, and received the American Jurisprudence Award for her coursework in White Collar Crime. Post-graduation, Merica joined JP Morgan Chase in New York City, where she was assigned to track trades and manage risk for the Non-Dollar Currency Trading Group. She left JP Morgan in 2009, giving up the hustle and bustle of city life for the gorgeous scenery of West Michigan. A former partner at another firm in Muskegon, Merica started her solo practice in November of 2014. Merica focuses her practice primarily on estate planning, real estate law and business law.
