DHL Global Forwarding began operating in the United States in Miami in 1935. With its regional headquarters in Plantation, Fla., the network has expanded to more than 75 full-service offices, including numerous distribution centers supported by one of the most powerful ocean and brokerage networks in the industry. The network includes a branch location in Romulus, Mich. DHL Global Forwarding offers customs brokerage capabilities and has a multimodal transportation portfolio of more than 20 customs brokerage operations throughout North America with expanded services for duty drawback as well as consulting services. DHL Global Forwarding is a subsidiary of DHL Americas, the United States operations of German-based Deutsche Post AG, which is part of a worldwide delivery network.
