History

Cobbs Corner Bar opened on February 13, 1970. Later that year Robert A. Cobb and Greg J. Murphy organized the Willis gallery as an entry-level art gallery at 422 West Willis. The gallery prospered for 28 years with the support of Joy Colby, an art columnist for the Detroit News. With the reopening of Cobbs Corner Bar it seemed fitting to bring back a blast from the past
