American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers is an educational and scientific organization that works towards the advancement of engineering applicable to agricultural, food and biological systems. Founded in 1907, the organization has more than 9,000 members in over 100 countries. Its engineers develop environmentally sensitive methods of producing food, fiber, timber and renewable energy sources. The organization also offers emerging technologies information to its members. Additionally, the organization publishes biological engineering-related books, journals, textbooks and monographs for scientists, technicians, researchers, system designers, consultants, extension specialists and agribusiness personnel.
