The Woburn Public Library has served the people of Woburn since 1856. The current building was designed by library architect H.H. Richardson and was built in 1879.
The 60,000-item collection found at the Woburn Public Library includes books, videos and DVDs, audiobooks, large print books, magazines and newspapers. It is part of the Minuteman Library Network, which gives patrons access to the collections of nearly 40 other libraries and several online databases. Passes to several Boston museums are also available to library card holders.
The library sponsors several programs for children, teens and adults.
