West Elementary School, located on Central Street near the District Court House, is one of five elementary schools in Stoughton. The principal is Brendan Dearborn.
The School has a diverse student population that hails from eighteen different countries, and more than 100 students whose second language is English. There are nineteen classroom teachers who are aided by a support staff of more than twenty.
The West School Athletic Complex is behind the School; it includes softball, baseball and open fields, a playground and a walking track.
