Valley Zendo is a serene Zen center nestled in the woods of the Berkshire mountain foothills near the Vermont-Massachusetts border. Established in 1974 by priests from Antaiji, the center offers a tranquil setting for the practice of Zazen.
With simple facilities including a zendo and residential area heated by wood stoves in the winter, Valley Zendo focuses on providing instruction in shikantaza and encourages individuals to incorporate Zen practice into their daily routines. Supported by monks and lay practitioners, the center hosts sesshin and other events for those interested in delving into Zen Buddhism.
