The Theodore Parker Church first gathered in 1712 and the church was built in 1900. Rev. Lilli Nye leads the Unitarian Universalist congregation. The church, which is at the corner of Corey and Centre Streets, is listed on the state register of historic places. A statue of Theodore Parker sits outside of the church, which causes many passersby to wonder about him. He was an American Transcendentalist who lived from 1810 - 1860.
