As the oldest church building in Newton, St. Mary's Episcopal Church has nearly 200 years of history at its location on Concord Street. Its placement between Newton and Wellesley allows the church to have a diverse congregation from both communities, as well as other towns in the Boston area. Lead by Rev. George Stevens, the church offers a main service at 10am, which includes music, prayer and communion, as well as a smaller, quiet service at 8am. Sunday school is offered for children before and during the 10am service.
In addition to the historical church building, a graveyard next to St. Mary's has graves that date back nearly two centuries.
Located in the village of Newton Lower Falls, St. Mary's Episcopal church is a mile from the Woodland MBTA stop (green line, D branch) and the Wellesley Farms MBTA Commuter Rail station (purple line, Framingham/Worcester line).
