Established in 1965, the South Shore Community Action Council is a private not-for-profit organization that provides a range of services to low-income individuals and families on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Its programs include youth and family development, income maintenance, nutrition services, emergency assistance, self-sufficiency, energy assistance, employment and transportation assistance. Its fuel assistance program can be reached at 508-746-6707. SSCAC is funded through federal, state, private and local sources. It is conveniently located on South Meadow Road in Plymouth and offers ample free parking.
