Comprising more than nine acres near Route 9 in Chestnut Hill, the Soule Recreation Center features soccer fields, tennis courts, an indoor gym, playgrounds for both toddlers and school-age children, and a large splash fountain with a variety of moving parts. The park is also home to the Environmental Education Center, which hosts summer and school vacation nature camps. The Soule Gymnasium can be rented for special events through the Brookline Recreation Department.
The Soule Center is part of Brookline's Green Dog Program, which allows park users to let their dogs off leash during certain hours. At the Soule Center, dogs are allowed off leash from dawn to 9 a.m.
Organized teams must seek a permit from the Recreation Department before using town athletic facilities.
