History
School Street Foods was born a decade ago on School Street in Boston out of a deep desire to elevate one of the most iconic on-the-move foods in the world: the pastelito. We wanted to create an experience where the filling could be experienced from the first, pipping hot bite until the last finger-licking chunk. Pastelito, pastelillo, turn-over, empanada, or empanadilla. The dough color and the edge crimping is slightly different. A circle folded onto itself, creating a pocket for holding delicious filings typical of a region or country. One of those perfect foods where even the handle is edible.
