Roosevelt Park is located in the Tripoli section of South Framingham. It is the former site of the Roosevelt Elementary School (1924-2001).
The park was built as a cooperative effort between the Framingham Department of Parks and Recreation and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Parts of the former school still reside on the site, including a brick archway and its former bell. A formal dedication ceremony was held in 2004.
There are four free parking spaces, including a handicapped space. There are a couple of swings, toddler swings and a wheelchair-accessible swing. There is a basketball half-court and a gazebo area with picnic tables and trash barrels. It is a popular walking park for neighborhood residents. There are several benches, several of which are dedicated to local residents.
During the school year, it is a very popular bus stop for many schools in town. In the morning, you will find many neighborhood residents walking their dogs here.
