History
I got my first camera at the age of 16 and have been actively photographing ever since. After studying Art History at the University of Michigan and an early career in NYC working in fashion for Karl Lagerfeld, I moved to Europe where I began my work as a photographer. In 1999 I moved to Princeton to pursue my Master's in Architecture at Princeton University which I combined with extensive photography coursework. I began to accept portrait and product commissions and by 2003 had opened my studio in downtown Princeton. It is now 14 years later and I can honestly say that the bulk of what I do is photography simply because I love working with people and helping them to feel confident and authentic before a camera. Yet I continually use my architectural training as it has helped me to develop a very discerning eye and great attention to detail that helps me to provide my clients with highest level of quality and craftsmanship.
Specialties
First and foremost, I would like to say thank you and express my gratitude for considering me. I am new to Yelp and don't yet have any reviews here but I'm certainly not new to this profession. I have been working as a fine-art portrait photographer since 1999. I specialize in authentic and natural portraits of children and families that are creative, timeless and cherished. I also love to shoot weddings. My clients tell me they appreciate my creative and journalistic style and how easy I make it to be in front of the camera. I hope we will have the opportunity to work together!
