Founded in 1973 as Plymouth-Carver Intermediate School, Plymouth Community Intermediate School has an enrollment of more than 1,200 students in grades five through eight. It is divided into four houses that include Apollo, Gemini, Mercury and Ranger and has over 150 staff and support personnel. The school offers various opportunities to participate in musical presentations and theater productions. It also offers an array of programs in art, computers and health. The school s interscholastic sports programs feature soccer, cross country, hockey, basketball, wrestling, softball and baseball. Located in Plymouth, Mass., the school s facility features a planetarium and national weather station. Plymouth-Carver Intermediate School also has a more than 120-seat auditorium, which accommodates school plays, team activities and community meetings.
