Solomon Schechter Day School
Located in Newton, Mass., Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston is a coeducational Jewish day school that serves more than 500 students in grades kindergarten through eight and was founded in 1961. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, Hebrew, science, social studies, fine arts, physical education and Spanish. The school provides a variety of facilities, such as classrooms with computers in each room, art and music rooms, libraries, gymnasiums, outdoor playgrounds and athletic fields. It offers various athletic activities, including karate, flag football, lacrosse, tennis, swimming, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston is a member of the Solomon Schechter Day School Association of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. The school is approved by and member of the Association of Independent Schools in New England.
