The Peabody Historical Society and Museum consists of several properties and collections that help residents and visitors alike trace Peabody's rich cultural past over a 300-year period. Guided tours are provided for several of the group's historic properties, which include the home of Revolutionary War soldier Gen. Gideon Foster on Washington Street and the Felton-Smith historic site. The group also operates the Cassidy Museum that contains many paintings, furniture, and other historic items.
