Palmer River Equestrian Center is a full service facility situated on 28 acres in historic Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Formerly known as Palmer River Riding Club, the site has operated as a riding school since 1962 and before that as a dairy farm. The property is owned by shareholders and has been leased to Dawn Marie Cook for the past 9 years. Just minutes from Providence, Rhode Island this charming facility stables 23 horses, offers one large outdoor ring, a well-groomed indoor arena, all-day turnout, access to trails and a cross-country course with over fifty jumps. During the past 9 years, Dawn has dedicated herself to establishing a place of riding which will create an environment to teach the philosophy of horsemanship. This includes combined training for the more serious rider as well as a safe and fun experience for the beginner. Dawn has competed in combined driving at the intermediate level and combined training at the preliminary level. She believes that hard work and a dedication to goals can bring the joy of riding together with the successful relationship between horse and rider. In addition to her experience as a rider and instructor, she also transacts equine purchases and sales for first-time horses and riders looking for a specific horse or pony.
