HistoryA board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Hertz is one of the few Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons on the South Shore of Massachusetts to have earned both dental and medical degrees from accredited U.S. dental and medical schools. Dr. Hertz earned his dental degree at the prestigious School of Dentistry at the University of California at San Francisco. He completed his medical school and training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo during an intensive five-year residency program. The program included training in oral surgery, head and neck surgery, general surgery, and anesthesiology. Dr. Hertz served as Chief Resident of oral & maxillofacial surgery during his final year of training. Dr. Hertz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
