Nashawtuc Architects Inc. has been creating personalized spaces for residential and small commercial projects in Concord and the surrounding communities since 1988. Founded by Concord resident, Holly Cratsley, AIA, the firm holds offices in the historic Wright Tavern in Concord Center. The mission of Nashawtuc Architects is to design in context and unity with the existing neighborhoods and landscapes, while educating clients about the benefits of environmentally friendly construction practices. By implementing its design philosophy, Nashawtuc works to preserve the beauty and historic legacy of the communities served.
Nashawtuc’s projects have been highlighted in numerous publications and on the television programs NECN’s New England Dream House with Beth Shelburne, Interior by Design with Chris Madden and HGTV’s Curb Appeal. Cratsley was the first female architect for This Old House when she designed “The Concord Cottage”. Recently, she was cited by readers of Women’s Business Boston as one of the region’s top ten female architects.
Cratsley generously shares her architectural expertise with various non-profits, and the firm always has at least one active pro-bono project in the office. Past community service projects have included: the Pine Street Inn, Habitat for Humanity, Renewal House, Concord Visitor Center and Concord Museum.
