Mass High Tech: The Journal of New England Technology is a weekly publication covering business news of the New England high tech industry. It launched in 1981 by Doug and Richard Green as a biweekly newspaper. In 1995, a venture capital company, Citymedia, owner of six city business journals, purchased MHT. In 1996, Citymedia was purchased by American City Business Journals, the United States' largest publisher of metropolitan weekly business and technology newspapers, with more than 40 publications nationwide. Since 1997, the number of MHT subscribers has grown from 5,000 to 18,000, making MHT the largest regional technology publication in the country.
