MASS BIOFUEL was started by Bob Warren and his daughter Elizabeth as a division of Warren Enterprises, better known as Fisher Churchill. Located in in Dedham MA, Fisher Churchill has been in the home heating oil business and energy related products since 1854. The agenda for MASS BIOFUEL is to provide heating oil, and now diesel fuel, that is cleaner, healthier, smarter and will decrease our dependency on foreign oil imports. We are "Redefining Home Heating Oil". Both of these blends help to reduce soot ( particulate matter ) build up inside of your heating system, therefore helping to extend the life of it. Traditional Heating oil contains on average 2, 000 to 2, 500 parts per million of sulfur and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel contains on average 12 to 15 parts per million. Reducing the sulfur content in heating oil makes for cleaner combustion resulting in less soot, a by product of combustion. Why is this so important? Soot build up in your heating system lowers your burner efficiency. FACT: 1/32 of soot in your heating system equals a 16.2% efficiency loss. Also, lowering the sulfur content in your heating fuel results in lower particulate matter emissions ( PM2.5 ), a known asthma trigger. Blending biodiesel in with high or ultra low sulfur heating oil lowers emissions such as Carbon, Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur Oxide, Nitrogen Oxide and Particulate Matter. Lowering these emissions helps to reduce acid rain, global warming and respiratory problems. Every new product has to go through its testing cycles. Bioheat is no different. Both laboratory and in-home testing have been done using different blends of Bioheat . In virtually every instance Bioheat blends ( 20% and lower ) have proven to be better at achieving cleaner and improved combustion results. Our blended fuel can be used in any oil fired heating system with no modifications to your present system. We do, however, inspect all equipment prior to the first fuel delivery. The strict guidelines that we follow allow us to monitor the before and after effects of your system. In April 2006, MASS BIOFUEL started delivering biodiesel blends for diesel powered engines. Our biodiesel meets regulated specifications ( ASTM 6751 ) and is safer to handle, store and transport than traditional diesel fuel. Biodiesel is the ideal solution for low sulfur and ultra low sulfur's lubricity problem. It aids in energy security and has similar fuel consumption, torque and horsepower. There are no modifications that need to be made to your current engine and there have been no reports of any U.S. engine manufacturer voiding their parts and labor warranties. Although biodiesel is operable in its purest form, it is most beneficial when blended with regular diesel fuel. Please call for pricing. We periodically update our website adding helpful links to provide you with the most current news and knowledge on Bioheat and all the biodiesel blends we offer.
