Opened on Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, seventeen years ago. The business has been under the direction and ownership of Loocie Brown for that time. She employs other practitioners in her practice to integrate a full health approach to each patient's needs. The Center for Acupuncture routinely holds seminars on acupressure and education about Asian Medicine in Lexington and at Emerson Hospital for local participants.
Specialties
I came into the practice of Chinese Medicine as a patient twenty seven years ago. Receiving acupuncture for the first time was an experience of both welcome relief from pain mixed with a sense of deep relaxation. It is from that experience that I view each patient. With a background in education, I work on treatment plans that give individual focus to patient issues as well as use techniques that can accomplish a treatment goal quickly. Treatment styles include needles, laser, cupping, and non-insertive methods as required. Each patient gets gentle care and is provided with tools and techniques to help maintain good health. The treatments I provide are a reflection of the dedication and commitment to patient wellness that has defined my practice in health care for the past twenty years.
