The company offers specialized graphics on headwear and golf garments. Ahead was established in response to what it called a response to the lack of a dominant brand in the golf headwear segment. Prior to the company s emergence, golf hats generally consisted of a logo and a few other graphics. Ahead was recognized by ING as the recipient of ING s first place award for Product Ingenuity for Emerging Companies. The company was also recognized by Inc. magazine as the no. 1 Inner City Company in the United States. Ken Shwartz founded Ahead in 1995.
