Founded in 1967, Jackson School is a Catholic elementary school sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston. It enrolls more than 250 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s academic curriculum includes religion, language arts, math, science and social studies. Jackson School also offers classes in Spanish language, music, physical education and computer science. In addition, it provides transportation and financial assistance services. The school also offers extracurricular activities, including chess, choir, dance, drama and creative writing. Jackson School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is governed by Jackson-Walnut Park Educational Collaborative and the board of trustees. Jackson School is located in Newton, Mass.
