Deaconess Abundant Life Communities, founded in 1889, is a nonprofit organization offering independent and assisted living facilities and health care services to senior citizens. The services offered by the center include personal care, housekeeping, assistance with bathing, meal preparation, linen and cleaning, nutrition counseling, chapel services and an emergency response system. It offers a variety of social and recreational activities, including movies, painting, gardening, arts and crafts and bingo games. It also hosts ice cream socials, parties, holiday festivities, and afternoon teas.
