HistoryMake It Safe grew out of my remodeling business. It began as a childproofing service after I childproofed my own home and eventually grew to included safety for seniors and people with physical limitations. I became interested in helping seniors age-in-place after taking care of my mother-in-law in various nursing home facilities. I learned that my skill level could be very useful helping seniors remain at home as long as possible. As a senior, I am very concerned that 1/3rd of us fall each year, falls that are almost entirely preventable with simple and affordable modifications like grab bars, handrails and good interior lighting. It's rewarding work and I feel that I'm helping to keep people home and out of institutions for as long as possible.SpecialtiesMake It Safe is Boston's fall prevention and home safety specialist for seniors and small children. We sell and install grab bars, custom handrails, adaptive aids and make interior modifications to make bathrooms and homes safer for seniors living independently at home. We help parents keep their children safe at home by installing childproofing products like stair gates, cabinet latches, window guards and many other child safety products. Make It Safe, LLC began in 1995 and has made thousands of homes safer for children and seniors. The company is owned and operated by Stacy Greenspan, a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist and Massachusetts licensed contractor with over 35 years of remodeling experience. He is a member of the International Association For Child Safety.
