Holy Name School, a part of the Holy Name Parish, was founded in 1960. It is a Catholic, coeducational elementary school that enrolls more than 200 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers classes in various core elementary subjects, such as religion, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Holy Name School also provides educational instructions in art, music, computer literacy, foreign languages and physical education. In addition, it conducts various cocurricular programs and field trips. The school has a parent-teacher group that supports special classroom projects, dances and other events. Holy Name School is located in Fall River, Mass., and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
