Named after the Needham street where its founders first met in 1999, Highrock built on a vision of reaching "a new generation of believers and non-believers alike with a new kind of church," according to its Web site. The church is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Sunday services are currently held at 9:30am, 11:30am and 5pm during the school year, thought times are likely to change. For children, Highrock offers a nursery for infants and age-appropriate religious education for children up through seventh grade. The church also offers Friday-night programs for youth and young adults as well as a Wednesday-night tutoring program for high school students during the school year.
As part of its ministries, Highrock hosts a free sit-down meal called "SoulFood" after morning services throughout the year and at 6:15pm on Sundays during the school year.
Dave Swaim has served as senior pastor for Highrock since 2000.
