Sini Sanuman is dedicated to stopping excision, better known as female genital mutilation (FGM) in Mali and across the globe. Sini spreads their message via song and dance throughout Mali and nine other West African nations. With 45 partner groups, Sini has accumulated a 30,000-signature-strong petition urging the Mali government to end the practice. Founded in 2002 in Bamako, Sini Sanuman is aided stateside by partners Healthy Tomorrow in Somerville. Six villages and over 100 former excisers have given up the practice under pressure from Sini Sanuman/Healthy Tomorrow. This location is a mailing address only.
