Founded in 1909 as a way to sell off unsold materials, Filene's Basement boasts a history of being the original Mark Down shopping establishment. Now a franchise with this location in the Northshore Mall, customers won't have to deal with the hysteria of bargain basement shoppers that were associated with the first store way back when. They can, however, find some great prices on high-end, name brand men's, women's and children's clothing and housewares.
