Grace Church in Salem is located in the city's Historic District across from the Salem Public Library. The church is headed by Rector Rev. Deborah Phillips, who has served at the church since 1997. In addition to the indoor portion of the facility, the church maintains several garden areas.
The church was built between 1858 and 1859 before it was consecrated on June 2, 1859. The congregation was the second Episcopal Church (following St. Peter's) established in the city after parishoners deemed another church necessary to accomodate an increase in population and industry in the middle of the 19th century.
