Freelance Players & Urban Improv are dedicated to working with kids of all ages, teaching them skills to deal with violence and daily struggles through words and performance.
The Freelance Players work with children in Cambridge, Dover, Brookline, Jamaica Plain and Needham to put on musical theater productions, where kids learn acting, singing and dancing. Several performances are staged each year.
Urban Improv works with 7,000 school kids every year through school programs, summer programs and outreach. Using improvisational techniques, the group holds drama based workshops to help kids work through real life issues.
