Located in the village of Newtonville, F.A. Day Middle School is the largest of Newton's four middle schools. Along with the students at Bigelow Middle School, most students at F.A. Day who continue public education matriculate to Newton North High School. Much of the core curriculum at Day lines up with that at the other three middle schools; students take courses in language arts, math, science and social studies as well as art, music, health and technology.
Lead by Principal Brian Turner, F.A. Day Middle School's core values focus on "REAL" students: Respect and Responsibility for self and others, Excel academically, Acquire the tools we need and Love learning.
F.A. Day Middle School is about a half-mile walk from the Newtonville MBTA commuter rail station (purple line, Framingham/Worcester line). The #556 bus also stops nearby at the intersection of Walnut Street and Linwood Avenue.
