Congregation Beth Pinchas was home of Grand Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Horowitz, known as the Bostoner Rebbe, until his death in December 2009. His son, Rabbi Naftali Horowitz, now leads the Hasidic congregation.

Congregation Beth Pinchas is also home to the New England Chassidic Center.

Temple Sinai

Located just off Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner, Temple Sinai draws a Reform Jewish congregation from around the Boston area. The temple welcomes everyone to participate, "no matter what their approach to embracing Judaism or degree of Jewish literacy." The temple offers a full religious education curriculum for kindergarten through high school, as well as life-long learning programs for adults. Youth programs are available for grades 3 through 12. Andrew Vogel serves as the temple's rabbi.

Nehar Shalom Community Synagogue

Nehar Shalom, or "River of Peace," is a small, intimate Jewish house of worship located inside a beautiful home near Jamaica Pond. This is Jamaica Plain's first synagogue, established in 2005. Although it is centered on the teachings of traditional Judaisim and is led by a conservative Rabbi, this congregation is far from close-minded, striving for inclusion of Jewish people of all backgrounds, and also welcoming to interfaith families and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Jews.
