It is hard to imagine a Norwood without Concannon's Village. Ever since Tom Concannon opened the doors in 1974, and later added the adjacent Village Pub, there has been an even stronger bond among the people of Norwood. Concannon's Village is where people gather to support a member of the community, to celebrate milestones together, or to simply enjoy themselves. Every year, Concannon's Village opens its doors the night before Thanksgiving, holding an unofficial high school reunion. It is rare to have more then a couple weeks pass without hearing someone in town ask: "Are you going to the ___ benefit at Concannon's?"
Located adjacent to the function room, The Village Pub is open Tuesday through Sunday and is a warm, fun, friendly place to stop for a bite to eat or a get together with friends. Tim Fitzgerald, day manager of the Village Pub, said "Everyone is like family, it's so great, I really can't explain it. Once you come in, you'll experience it." The Village Pub just unveiled a new menu with a wide range of appetizers, sandwiches and wraps and dinner entrees. There is also Keno and have a full lottery if you'd like to try your luck while waiting for your dinner or hanging out at the bar.
