The Charles River Center was founded in 1965 by a group of parents with developmentally disabled children. This nonprofit organization was started to help improve the quality of life by helping each individual with a developmental disability achieve his or her highest possible level of independence so that he or she can fully participate, benefit, and become a contributing member of the community.
Serving over 500 families from numerous towns across Massachusetts, services include therapeutic day care, employment assistance, community living programs and family support.
