The Center for Community Health, Education & Research, Inc (CCHER) is a dedicated organization with over 26 years of experience advocating for the right to healthcare and providing essential social, health, behavioral, and prevention services to clients and their families. As a sub-recipient of a grant funded by the National REACH Coalition (NRC), a major recipient of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CCHER works alongside the Haitian community in metro Boston to strategically implement and evaluate healthy eating and active living initiatives that aim to eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities in chronic diseases.
Through the formation of a Community Leadership Team (CLT), CCHER collaborates with the Haitian community to advocate for systemic changes that promote a healthy community. As one of 15 sub-recipient grantees funded by the National REACH Coalition, CCHER actively selects public health strategies to raise awareness about healthy eating and active living among members of the larger Haitian community. With a commitment to promoting health equity, CCHER is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in need.
