Caritas Communities provides single-room occupancy housing to low-income individuals, including formerly homeless individuals, in the greater Boston area who often cannot afford market-price real estate. Rooms are furnished and include a small refrigerator, utilities, and free laundry services. Kitchen and baths are shared. Caritas Communities has several offices across the Boston area, and owns and manages 25 houses, providing permanent affordable housing for more than 600 individuals.
