Brotherhood of Hope is a fraternal Catholic community united by members' personal, individually consecrated vows to Jesus Christ. The origins of the Brotherhood trace back to New Jersey's People of Hope community and Servants of the World in Michigan. Brotherhood of Hope members believe in transforming lives through Jesus Christ as "all sufficiency" and spreading this word of hope to others. The Brotherhood works to build networks of evangelizing relationships through conferences and retreats. The organization was founded in 1980 and established its Somerville headquarters in 1998. Two fraternity members became ordained priests in Boston during the year 2000.
