Founded in 1993, Donald D. Wyatt Detention Facility is a non-profit, quasi-public adult secure detention facility. Located in Central Falls, R.I., it has been developed for use by the United States Marshal Service and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. The facility has an occupancy capacity of over 700 beds to house medium- to maximum-security US Marshals Federal detainees awaiting trial or transportation to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It provides routine and special transportation services along with providing courtroom security. The detention facility operates under the supervision of the Central Falls Detention Facility Corporation.
